Case 1  The box on the top shelf holds a wonderful Showa Mizusashi that we actually bought for its look about 7 years ago. Most of these pieces were purchased between 15-40 years ago. When we returned to active dealing in 1997, we at first continued our focus on Japanese ceramics, lacquer, paintings, netsuke and mingei, but quickly changed our focus. We still occasionally bring a few pieces to a show, but for the most part they collect dust.

We will be happy to provide you with close up photos, measurements, condition reports, and very attractive prices. We may not get back to you immediately, what with shows and grandchildren, but we will! Some of the more expensive pieces will eventually be listed a somewhat higher prices on LSDArt.com.

Case 2 We had an extensive collection of tokkuri (a kind of private collection). They are sake bottles. You will see more of them scattered on other shelves. Want an instant collection? Let's make a deal!

Case 3 The box contains a set of Meiji-Taisho Kakiemon dishes packed for export. Japanese sets are five. Seeing only 4 padded holders, the packer scratched his head and crammed the extra one in. I think we still have it.
